Now, StormQuant’s patented design is demonstrating another major advantage of modularity: field deployment flexibility.
StormQuant’s 27,000-component radar can be deconstructed into four distinct modules—the radome, antenna assembly, RF electronics and thermal control assembly, and tower support framework—and reassembled onsite in just hours. This modular approach makes it possible to move and install components using conventional building access and material-handling equipment, eliminating the need for factory-assembled units for new installations and many field hardware upgrades.
StormQuant’s field deployment flexibility is further bolstered by the radar’s minimal power infrastructure requirements. Powered by a standard 110V electrical service, the radar does not require dedicated industrial power, yet delivers performance far beyond what has ever been achieved in such a compact package.
The Power of Modular Design
A recent upgrade at the Enclave residential tower in Park Shore, the tallest building in Southwest Florida, provides a powerful example.
When the original BAT series radar was installed 30 stories above ground, a helicopter was required to lift the system into position.


For last week’s hardware upgrade, no helicopter was needed.
Instead, our technicians deconstructed the radar and transported its modular components to the penthouse foyer using the building’s passenger elevator. From there, an electric hand truck moved the components up the access stairway to the roof, where the radar was reassembled onsite. A small portable hoist then lifted the completed radar into position atop the support pole.
The result? Three people completed the transportation, assembly, and installation of the upgraded radar in less than four hours.
