Advanced Radar Technology Demonstrated as a Game-Changer For Weather Forecasting and Emergency Response
The StormQuant team is building strong momentum with senior federal stakeholders, recently briefing top officials from leading agencies, including NASA and NOAA, on the company’s advanced proprietary radar technology and its life-saving advantages for weather forecasting and emergency response.
Each year, the U.S. government invests heavily in weather monitoring and forecasting infrastructure. StormQuant delivers a transformative capability—providing high-resolution, real-time atmospheric data at a fraction of the cost that would be required to design, develop, and deploy a comparable next-generation system.
By integrating compact, proprietary radar systems with patented software, StormQuant empowers users with high-resolution, real-time situational awareness. These capabilities are critical to improving emergency response, enhancing public safety, and protecting infrastructure during severe weather events.
Gaining Momentum With Federal Stakeholders
Briefings with senior NASA officials, including NASA Chief of Staff Brian Hughes, sparked strong interest in how StormQuant’s technology could improve weather readiness for space launch operations. Hughes recounted witnessing a recent rocket launch scrubbed due to uncertain weather conditions—highlighting the operational impact of current forecasting limitations.

“Our proprietary platform is a game-changer,” said Edward Rossi, CEO of StormQuant. “We showcased real-world examples where our technology would have made a measurable impact on critical Go/No-Go decisions. Our system enables rapid interrogation of dynamic weather conditions and provides high-resolution, 3D-situational awareness. We’re eager to support NASA’s mission with next-generation weather tools.”

In meetings with the Department of Commerce, StormQuant briefed Acting NOAA Administrator Laura Grim and senior officials on its deployments and emergency preparedness work in the State of Florida. Demonstrations highlighted StormQuant’s software capability to merge radial velocity data from multiple radars—creating true wind velocity vectors that transform raw data into actionable intelligence for decision-makers.

StormQuant’s impact is already being felt across Florida, where multiple radar systems and Weather Viewer workstations have been deployed. These tools are actively supporting local Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), providing real-time, high-resolution weather data that improves situational awareness during hurricanes, wildfires, and other severe weather events.

“We continue to refine our user-defined alerts,” said Tristan Rizzi, Capt. SEAL, USN (Ret), and President of StormQuant. “Access to a Weather Viewer workstation strengthens a community’s readiness and gives them the ability to pre-act—not just react—to weather threats.”
StormQuant’s revolutionary software platform empowers emergency managers with faster, smarter, and more cost-effective decision-making tools—designed to support public safety at scale.
