Howard Moore is StormQuant’s Chief Meteorologist. He is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 25 years of military service. He holds a Bachelor of Atmospheric Science degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Creighton University and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (High Honors).

Mr. Moore enlisted in the Air Force in 1992 and was recognized as an Honor Graduate from Security Police Technical School. He went on to serve in the missile fields of Montana. In 1995, he cross-trained and was a Distinguished Graduate from the Space Systems Operations Specialist Course. He spent nearly three years conducting command and control of Defense Meteorological Satellites before receiving an AFROTC scholarship. Further advancing his formal education, Mr. Moore studied meteorology at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and was commissioned as an AFROTC distinguished graduate in 2002.

Mr. Moore’s operational assignments include environmental support for government and commercial space-lift and ballistic missile operations at the United States’ Eastern and Western Test Ranges, Nuclear Command and Control operations onboard United States Strategic Command’s Airborne Command Post, Army fixed and rotary wing aviation across the Korean Peninsula, and resource protection for military assets and personnel across the western third of the United States. His final assignment was as the Senior Meteorologic and Oceanographic Officer at North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command.
